A senior official said that under this campaign, old trains of Police and Transport Department are being retired. 698 vehicles of Police Department, 481 of Transport Department and 710 vehicles of various government companies will be excluded from service. In this way, the total number of old government vehicles has increased to about 22,000. Government officials said that electric vehicles would be replaced by these vehicles.
Department also started shopping for new vehicles
Apart from removing old trains, many departments have also started shopping for new trains. Officials said that the government is paying special attention to electric vehicles instead of old trains. This will not only protect the environment but will also promote sustainable and safe transport. Apart from this, now the departments are renting instead of buying vehicles. Officials say that this step has not only been taken to save money, but it was also necessary to run the services of government vehicles more easier and better.
