Nothing’s CMF registers as CMF India Private Limited, expands global consumer tech presence

New Delhi: The sub-brand of London-tech company Nothing, CMF, has officially registered in India as a separate legal entity. The company registered its incorporation on the 23rd of December, 2025, and will now be referred to as CMF India Private Limited. CMF is a company that targets the budget and the mid-end segments and intends to cater to the global marketplace out of its Indian location.

Akis Evangelidis, chairman and company president of Nothing in India, explained the importance of this action. Citing the words of the Minister of IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, he said that India is increasingly becoming an integral part of the consumer technology industry across the globe. It is a remarkable job that has been done. Evangelidis said that CMF can play a significant role in that journey.

Global growth positioned

The registration of CMF follows its joint venture with the company, Optiemus, in the manufacturing sector of $100 million. This move will build its position in India and position CMF to be the first global consumer tech brand born in India to the world. The firm intends to utilise the rising electronics production environment in India to increase its product base and access other markets.

Electronics manufacturing and ‘Make in India’ push

In her speech, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had pointed out the accelerated growth of the country in terms of electronics production and export. The production of electronics has grown six times during the past 11 years, and exports have grown eight times. India has major manufacturing projects, such as laptops, servers, earphones, semiconductor facilities, etc. He observed that there are factories which hire up to 40,000 individuals in one place, giving them massive employment.

The introduction of CMF India Private Limited will be a significant step towards the growth strategy of Nothing. Evangelidis stressed that the company will be thrilled to be part of the consumer tech development story in India. CMF has now officially established its operations in India and hopes to make inroads to be a competitive global brand within the next few years.
