Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was found guilty in the 2018 check bounce case. Mumbai’s Andheri Magistrate Court had ordered him to give him simple jail sentence of 3 months and a compensation of Rs 3.72 lakh. However, later after settlement, the Sessions Court ended the case and acquitted him. A check bounce case against Verma was filed by a supplier in Mumbai.
