Telangana

Uttar Pradesh

On New Year’s Eve, the state sold liquor worth Rs 308 crore, more than its target. Overall, 4.83 lakh boxes of Indian made liquor and 2.92 lakh boxes of beer were sold, making December one of the most profitable months for Karnataka State Beverages Corporation.

Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, sales of about Rs 300 crore were made on New Year’s Eve, which is double the last year’s Rs 147 crore. Extending retail hours till midnight and bar service till 1 am led to a boost in sales. Visakhapatnam alone contributed ₹11 crore, with liquor shops, bars, hotels and clubs reporting good figures.

Delhi

Delhi also participated in this celebration, where liquor worth Rs 400 crore was sold. Hotels, bars and private parties increased consumption, while 16 crore more were sold in Noida on December 31 and January 1. The capital’s cosmopolitan crowd has ensured that alcohol remains easily available by 2026.
