People consider it healthy and give it to their children. But packed fruit juices available in the market are not beneficial for the health of children.
Fruit juices are not good for child’s health
Dr. Rahman explains that the packed fruit juices available in the market lack a lot of nutrition. At the same time, refined sugar, industrial starch, artificial colors and flavors are added in large quantities in it. Which can cause harm instead of providing any benefit.
These harms can occur to children
According to the orthopedic doctor, if children consume too much packed fruit juice, their health may be adversely affected. Especially the liver is at greater risk. Children between the age of 1 year to 5 years can suffer from fatty liver problem.
There is a deficiency of nutrients
Most parents give fruit juice to their child believing that it will provide nutrition to the child. But the truth is that packed juices do not contain any nutrition. The fiber is removed while making them. This is the reason why, when a child drinks it, he gets high amount of fructose and the risk of fatty liver increases. In such a situation, try to give the child only fresh juice made at home or feed him fruits.
