Toyota recorded domestic sales of 28,441 units in June 2026, registering a 7.52% year-on-year growth compared with 26,453 units sold during the same month last year. Although sales declined by nearly 7% from 30,574 units in May 2026, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder once again emerged as the company’s highest-selling model.
The hybrid SUV contributed 9,104 units, accounting for around 32% of Toyota’s total domestic sales in June, making it the brand’s most popular vehicle in India.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder leads the pack
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder registered a 22% year-on-year increase in sales, rising from 7,462 units in June 2025 to 9,104 units in June 2026. Its strong performance has been driven by growing demand for hybrid SUVs, premium features and high fuel efficiency.
The Hyryder’s strong hybrid variant delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 27.97km/l, making it one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs currently on sale in India.
Innova Hycross and Fortuner witness decline
Toyota Innova Hycross ranked second with 4,510 units, but sales fell 21.51% compared with June last year. Month-on-month sales also declined by nearly 33%, although Toyota is expected to introduce a facelift in the coming months.
Toyota Fortuner sold 2,514 units during the month, registering an 8.35% year-on-year decline. Despite the drop, the premium SUV continues to remain one of Toyota’s strongest products in the full-size SUV segment.
Meanwhile, the Innova Crysta recorded 2,822 units, down 7.66% from the previous year.
Glanza posts healthy growth
Toyota Glanza continued its positive momentum, selling 3,512 units in June 2026. The hatchback posted a 19.54% year-on-year growth, helped by its fuel-efficient petrol engine, reliability and affordability.
Other Toyota models
Apart from its top five models, Toyota also sold 2,483 units of the Taisor, 2,376 units of the Rumion, 459 units of the Urban Cruiser EV (Ebella), 289 units of the Hilux, 191 units of the Camry, 140 units of the Vellfire and 41 units of the Land Cruiser LC300 in June 2026.
The latest sales figures indicate that hybrid and fuel-efficient models are driving Toyota’s growth in India, with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder leading the company’s portfolio while traditional favourites such as the Innova and Fortuner witnessed softer demand during the month.
