Malavika Jayaram, daughter of celebrated actors Jayaram and Parvathy, addressed speculation about her entering the film industry during the pooja ceremony of Aashakal Aayiram -an in which her father and brother Kalidas Jayaram are set to co-star.
Speaking to media, Malavika emphasised that she had never considered acting, and that her absence from the screen both before and after marriage was simply a matter of personal choice:
“I didn’t act before marriage, and after getting married I still haven’t given it a thought. I haven’t made any such decision at all,” she said.
When asked about the unique on-screen pairing of her father Jayaram and brother Kalidas, Malavika smiled, noting that no special performance would be required-they already share a natural chemistry:
“When they come together, they don’t need to act pretentiously. At home, they are just like that. They’re a wonderful combination. The same feeling I had watching them 25 years ago will be present in this film, for sure. They’re both completely different individuals, and each has his own approach to acting,” she remarked.
Malavika appeared at the event alongside her husband, Navaneeth, a chartered accountant hailing from Palakkad and now based in the UK. The couple got married in May of the previous year.
