1212 MoUs signed in the first Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in North Gujarat, investment estimated at Rs 3.24 lakh crore. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said, with the vision of PM Modi, Gujarat is moving towards ‘village to global’ development.
Gandhinagar. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has achieved new heights of development in every sector ‘from cleanliness to semiconductor’ by connecting the people of the country with the government. He said that the Prime Minister’s vision was not limited to cities only, rather he resolved to take development to every village. Taking this thinking forward, Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) has been organized in the state.
Successful completion of the first Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in North Gujarat
Shri Patel presided over the closing ceremony of the two-day Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference of North Gujarat organized at Ganpat University, Kherwa in Mehsana district. He said, “Well begun is half done” i.e. a good beginning is equal to half the victory. This conference has strengthened the ideas of ‘Global Village’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ given by Prime Minister Modi.
1212 MoUs in two days, investment of Rs 3.24 lakh crore possible
The Chief Minister said that in this two-day conference, 1212 MOUs were signed in 21 areas. Through these, a potential investment of Rs 3.24 lakh crore will come to North Gujarat. This investment will give new impetus to the development of the sector and employment generation. He attributed this success to the continuous guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and said that the Central Government Ministers, foreign representatives and Karmayogis of ‘Team Gujarat’ have contributed significantly in this.
Vibrant Summit gave new direction to development
The Chief Minister said that so far 10 Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summits have been successfully organized under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. These summits have provided new energy, investment and employment opportunities to the state. He said that now through the Regional Vibrant Conference this initiative has become more widespread and relevant. The success of the first Regional Conference of North Gujarat is proof that the development of the state is now moving in the direction of ‘Village to Global’.
Vibrant Summit is an example of Prime Minister Modi’s vision
Chief Minister Patel recalled that in the year 2003, Prime Minister Modi had started the Vibrant Summit amidst many challenges, which has now become recognized on the global stage. He said that the discussions, presentations and MOUs signed during this two-day conference will write a new chapter in the development of North Gujarat. He also appealed for active participation in the upcoming conferences of other areas.
Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai: ‘Vibrant model gave direction to the country’
Finance Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai said that due to the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Vibrant Summit has now become a source of inspiration for the entire country. He said that despite the difficulties of the Corona period, Vibrant’s journey did not stop but became stronger. This regional vibrant conference model, which started from North Gujarat, will connect every area of the state with development in the coming times.
Industries Minister Balwant Singh Rajput: ‘The objective is to make every sector a partner in development’
Industries Minister Shri Balwant Singh Rajput said that the objective of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference is to bring all the areas of the state into the mainstream of development. He informed that representatives of small, medium and mega industries participated in this first edition. Topics like quality, skill development and investment were discussed in detail in the conference and many agreements were reached.
GST and tax reforms have strengthened the country: Balwant Singh Rajput
Shri Rajput said that Prime Minister Modi always cares about the common citizen. Even in the times of war, tax reforms and global competition, he has set a target of making the country a developed India by 2047 through GST reforms, income tax exemption up to Rs 12 lakh and other public welfare decisions.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the single window system and industry-friendly policies in Gujarat have taken the ease of doing business to new heights.
Big step towards balanced development
Principal Secretary, Industries and Mines Department, Ms. Mamta Verma said that the Regional Vibrant Summit is an important step towards equitable and balanced development in the state. According to him, the conference has provided a platform for networking, collaboration and idea-exchange among industries, which will lead to creation of employment and new industrial opportunities.
Global partnerships and active role of startups
Industries Commissioner Shri P. Swarup said that 34 foreign companies and more than 170 startups participated in this summit. He said that this summit has become a global event with the participation of more than 80 countries. Countries like Japan, Vietnam, South Korea and Netherlands participated in the agricultural seminar. There were 440 international delegates out of a total of 29,000 participants.
Industry praised Gujarat model
Mr. Ashok Sharma, CEO, Mahendra Agri and Mr. Kapil Maheshwari, CEO, Welspun New Energy Limited appreciated the infrastructure and industrial ecosystem of Gujarat. He said Gujarat’s progress in food processing and renewable energy sectors is an example for the country.

On this occasion, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture Department, Smt. Anju Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department, Shri S.J. Haider, Ganpat University Founder Shri Ganpat Patel, Mahendra CEO Shri Devendra Singh and many prominent representatives of industry, education and industrial associations were present.
