Noida Airport Renaming: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday announced that the newly inaugurated Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport, will be named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After the renaming, it will be known as Narendra Modi International Airport. The decision has been taken to commemorate PM Modi’s 25 years in service.
Announcing the decision after a cabinet meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “The Council of Ministers of Uttar Pradesh expresses its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for gifting the state the Noida International Airport at Jewar. The Cabinet has approved a proposal to name it Narendra Modi International Airport, Noida-Jewar,” UP CM Yogi Adityanath said after a cabinet meeting.
Praising PM Modi’s “uninterrupted 25 years of public service”, CM Yogi said that his leadership has taken India to new heights and established the country’s new identity on the global stage.
“The Council of Ministers of UP extends its heartfelt congratulations to PM Modi on the completion of 25 years of continuous, dedicated service as the Head of Government. This is a moment of special pride for UP, as PM Modi leads the nation from the sacred soil of this state, serving as a popular public representative and Member of Parliament,” the CM said.
“Under his leadership, India has established a new identity on the global stage while preserving its civilizational values,” he added.
