Last year and earlier this year, several rumours linked Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush.
Some media reports even claimed that the two would get married on Valentine’s Day, but the speculation proved to be false. However, the rumours surrounding their relationship did not end there.
During the promotions of Dacoit in April, Mrunal was once again asked about the speculation.
She tactfully avoided commenting on Dhanush, which only added to the curiosity surrounding the alleged relationship.
Now, however, both the media and social media appear to have largely moved on from the rumours.
Sources close to Dhanush claim that the reports about their relationship are true.
According to them, the two are still together and have neither broken up nor stopped seeing each other. However, it remains unclear whether the relationship will eventually lead to marriage.
Meanwhile, Mrunal Thakur has not signed another Telugu film since the release of Dacoit. Reports suggesting that she would star in Dhanush’s next film also turned out to be false.
She is now said to be playing one of the female leads in Atlee’s Raaka, starring Allu Arjun.
