A young man’s jaw-dropping fitness journey has been making headlines – inspiring those wanting to lose weight the correct way-without indulging in fancy diets or over-the-top workouts.
Sharing his progress on social media, he (name not revealed) lost around 40 kilograms in just six months.
What makes the man’s achievement remarkable is that due to his persistence and discipline, he followed his goals consistently and did not indulge in any kind of shortcuts. After weighing the heaviest at 112 kilograms, the man, whose daily diet had a huge stash of junk and fried foods, sugar sodas, and colas, and no exercise, this is a massive change.
A perfect home-cooked diet plan
When he began to feel the crunch of not being able to fit into clothes and started having difficulty walking, he decided to control his lifestyle. He began by cutting out oily foods completely and replacing them with balanced, home-cooked meals that included vegetables and fruits, lean proteins, and lots of water in a day.
Also, after consulting with his doctor, he started practicing portion control, which made sure that despite eating everything, he was not overconsuming food but was adequately full and did not indulge in snacking.
Physical activity is a must
However, when you weigh a lot, just relying on dietary adjustments is not going to make much difference.
And so, he slowly incorporated physical activity – starting with daily walks and a few exercises he did at home, which could be managed without getting extremely tired or demotivated.
Consistency brought transformation
After sticking to a self-made routine, which was flexible yet consistent, the man started seeing changes in his body.
While his appearance improved – he was able to fit into clothes of his choice, he could walk without feeling any pain in his legs, and he had more energy than before – the biggest shift, according to him, was in his mental health. After six months, he gradually lost 37 kilograms and then joined a gym to help sustain his weight with the help of workouts and build strength and muscle.
He now weighs 75 kilograms and continues to follow the enhanced lifestyle he created for himself, devoid of extreme diets or quick fixes, which are not sustainable in the long run. The man says his everlasting formula for weight loss and good health is simple, yet powerful, and includes clean eating, discipline, and persistence.
