‘No Banners & Hoardings’: CM Fadnavis Urges Supporters To Donate Money To Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi On Birthday Eve (VIDEO)

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who turns 55 tomorrow (22 July), has asked his supporters not to display banners and hoardings for his birthday.

Instead, he has urged them to donate to the Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund), which provides financial aid for the treatment of underprivileged patients.

Speaking to the media in Mumbai, Fadnavis said, “I have always advised against putting up banners and hoardings for my birthday. This year, I am requesting people to donate to the Mukhyamantri Sahayata Nidhi instead-this will help fund medical treatment for those in need.”

Fadnavis on Bombay HC’s 2006 Train Blasts Verdict

Responding to the recent Bombay High Court judgment acquitting 12 individuals arrested in connection with the 11 July 2006 serial train blasts, the Chief Minister stated that the government would challenge the ruling in the Supreme Court.

“The Bombay High Court’s verdict is deeply shocking, and we will appeal against it in the Supreme Court,” he said.

There is an interesting fact to know about Devendra Fadnavis – he shares his birthday with his cabinet colleague and Nationalist Congress Party chief, Ajit Pawar.

Fadnavis was born on 22 July 1970, while Ajit Pawar was born on 22 July 1959.
