New Delhi: India have suffered twin injury setbacks ahead of the upcoming fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in Manchester, starting Wednesday, July 23. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday confirmed that all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remainder of the series, and pacer Arshdeep Singh will miss the 4th Test.
Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches against England due to a left knee injury and will return home for his rehab, BCCI confirmed in its release. Meanwhile, Arshdeep is out of the 4th Test after suffering an impact injury to his left thumb while bowling during India’s training session earlier this week. The BCCI medical team is monitoring the pacer’s recovery.
BCCI also confirmed that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel has added Haryana pace all-rounder Anshul Kamboj to India’s squad ahead of the 4th Test. Kamboj, who impressed with the ball during India A’s tour of England ahead of the start of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, has already linked up with the rest of the Indian team in Manchester.
