Nissan Tekton New Look: Nissan Tekton will look like this, design revealed. Upcoming Nissan Tekton SUV Design Revealed In New Renders

Nissan will soon launch the new mid-size SUV Tecton, which is based on the platform of Renault Duster. It will have features like boxy design, ADAS and panoramic sunroof. It may be launched in the first half of 2026.

ProhibitSan Motor India Private Limited currently sells only Magnite SUV in the domestic market. Now Nissan is preparing to increase its portfolio. The much-awaited Tecton mid-size SUV and Gravit sub-four meter MPV will be launched soon. It will share its platform with the upcoming Renault Duster. It is expected that Tecton will be launched soon. This will re-establish Nissan Motor India’s strong position in the premium mainstream SUV segment. It will enter a segment which already has a lot of competition.

The Nissan Tecton will be the 15th C-spec SUV (4.2m to 4.4m) to be sold in India. Ahead of the launch, rendering artist Pratyush Raut has presented his design based on the teaser and spy shots. These renders have been shared by Rushlane. Let’s take a closer look at the details based on the renders.

If we talk about C-segment SUVs (4.2 m to 4.4 m), Nissan’s last offering was the Kicks. It was a premium offering positioned above the Terrano, just as Renault had the Captur above the Duster. With its boxy design, the Nissan Tecton looks strong and muscular, which will prove beneficial for it in India.

These renders reveal this and show a boxy side profile, a flat front fascia, a clamshell design flat bonnet with muscular creases, an end-to-end LED DRL signature to add width and thick body cladding to exude clout. As seen in previous spy shots, the Tecton will come with 18-inch alloy wheels shod with 225-section tyres.

Unlike some competitors who make vehicles with different designs, Nissan has adopted a simple yet attractive design in the Tecton. The LED headlights are sleek and feature a DRL signature. It has two connected DRL elements, one at the top and a double element in the middle. The bumper is beautifully designed with silver elements for contrast.

The alloy wheels have been given a dual-tone look. There are some appliques near the quarter panels on the front doors. The rear door handles are provided on the C-pillar, which looks modern. These renders show privacy glass for the rear window, but this is unlikely to happen in the production version. The Nissan Tecton will have longer roof rails, which will further increase its height.

What to expect from the Nissan Tecton?

Its ORVMs are larger and it also gets distinctive LED taillights. On the inside, the Nissan Tecton is expected to get segment-specific features and equipment like a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, a large screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electronic parking brake, auto climate control, cruise control, ADAS and leatherette upholstery.

If we talk about powertrain, then Nissan Tecton is expected to have only petrol engine. Like the Renault Duster, a hybrid version may also arrive later. The exact timeline of the launch is not known yet, but the Nissan Tecton is expected to be launched in the first half of 2026. It will compete with Tata Sierra, Tata Curve, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyrider, Honda Elevate, MG Aster, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Citroen Basalt and Citroen Aircross.
