Nissan Motors add 54 customer touchpoints in India in first quarter of 2026

New Delhi: Japanese carmaker Nissan Motors on Friday said that they have added 54 new touchpoints, which include 3S (sales, service and spare parts) facilities, across the country in the first three months of this calendar year. The newly opened touchpoints are made of a mix of 3S, 2S (sales and service), and 1S (only sales) facilities.

These have been strategically located across India, making Nissan’s footprint in the country deeper.

Saurabh Vatsa, MD at Nissan Motor India, said, “The opening of 54 new customer touchpoints across India in Q1 2026 marks an important milestone in Nissan’s growth journey in India.”

With the brand strengthening its product lineup with the launch of all-new Gravite, upcoming C-segment SUV Tekton and C-SUV 7-seater, along with Magnite, the network expansions remain a critical part of the brand’s strategy, Vatsa said. Vatsa highlighted that the growth indicated how strongly they wanted to improve their accessibility, enhancing customer reach while also moving towards their target of 400 touchpoints by the end of FY27.

In March 2026, Nissan delivered a very good performance with a cumulative sales of 10,388 units, which included domestic wholesales of 4,408 units, their best domestic wholesale performance in the last five years. This was a big 98 per cent growth and also saw them have 5,980 units in exports. Most importantly, Gravite has received a positive reception. Having enjoyed a decent global presence, Nissan’s products in India are obviously quite a welcome and healthy offering.
