Nissan Magnite Kuro: Nissan launched the Kuro Edition of its popular compact SUV, the Magnite, in India today for a starting price of Rs 8.30 lakh (Ex-showroom). The brand updated the Magnite SUV with a facelift model in October 2024, and this is the first-ever special edition of the newer generation model. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and powertrain of the newly launched Nissan Magnite Kuro.
Nissan Magnite Kuro: Design
In Japanese, Kuro means Black, and it is the highlight of the all-new Kuro Edition of the Magnite SUV. The Kuro Edition features an all-black theme on the exterior, which continues inside the cabin. As anticipated, the Magnite Kuro edition replaces the chrome elements on the grille with all black. In terms of design, nothing else has changed, and the SUV remains completely unchanged.

Nissan Magnite Kuro: Features
The brand has not provided the Kuro edition with any additional upgrades, and it will come equipped with the same set of features. The Kuro edition of the SUV features an 8-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, along with a digital driver’s display. It also gets an auto-dimming IRVM, illuminated glovebox, rear AC vents, and automatic climate control. In terms of safety, it gets features like 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Hill Start Assist, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Nissan Magnite Kuro: Powertrain
Although the brand has upgraded the new-generation Magnite with an all black colour, the engine under the hood remains unchanged. The Kuro edition will be offered with options of either a 1.0-litre petrol engine or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. While the petrol engine generates 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque, the turbo-petrol engine can churn out a peak power and torque output of 98 hp and 160 Nm, respectively.
