Nicolò Bulega on his way to MotoGP with Ducati?

Nicolò Bulega is in the final year of his contract with Aruba.it Ducati in the Superbike World Championship, but his future with the manufacturer seems assured… as long as he wants it.

And there’s even the possibility of a move to MotoGP on the table.

According to the website Motorsport.com, the new agreement both parties are considering foresees that the current WSBK leader could carry out several tests with the MotoGP prototype for 2027 – the year in which the regulations will change significantly, including the entry of Pirelli as tyre supplier (the same that already supplies WSBK).

Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna is said to have been impressed with Bulega’s way of working with engineers and his experience with Pirelli tyres, and therefore intends to involve him in the development of the future MotoGP bike. The first session could take place in May 2026.

Thus, if he renews with Ducati, Bulega not only has the prospect of staying with the manufacturer he joined in 2022, but also of moving up to MotoGP in the future – something he didn’t manage through the traditional path after competing in Moto3 and Moto2 between 2016 and 2021.
