News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses season 2: The search for India’s next football stars has reached Hyderabad, where the selection for Indian Tigers and Tigress Season 2 was held at the grounds of Srinidhi Deccan Football Club. The coaches and scouts of Srinidhi Deccan FC are keeping a close eye on the skills and performance of the young players in the Under-14 and Under-17 categories. 30 potential players will be selected under this unprecedented nationwide talent search launched by TV9 network. Young players of Hyderabad are trying their best to make a place in this special group.
What is the goal of TV9 Network’s initiative?
The main objective of this initiative by TV9 Network is to identify talented football players across India and provide them the necessary platform and resources to excel at the international level. These trials are being organized in many cities across the country, in which hundreds of young players are showcasing their talent and skills.
Global Forum for Young Athletes
This program has already proven its effectiveness. In the first season, 12 girls and 16 boys got a golden opportunity to receive advanced football training in Austria and Germany. Taking this tradition forward, in the second season the top 30 players will be selected for special training and experience.

The players who perform excellently in these school level trials will reach the final round of News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses Season 2. The selected 30 young players will be given special training in Germany, where they will receive training amid world-class facilities under the guidance of top coaches. Through TV9 Network’s partnership with the Bundesliga, these players will get the opportunity to make their mark at the international level.

The first season was historic
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a historic farewell to the country’s top young footballers selected in the football talent search program at the ‘What India Thinks Today 2025’ (WITT 2025) Global Summit held in New Delhi. This global summit, organized by India’s largest news network TV9, was held in March 2025 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
After a successful tour of Europe, the young footballers were welcomed back home by Honorable Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya at the Austrian Embassy and Austrian Ambassador to India Katharina Visser.
