New Delhi: The trial round league matches of the second season of TV9 Network’s football talent hunt initiative, “News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses“, were held at Shemford Futuristic School in Pinjore, Haryana.
The Shemford Group of Schools is also the school partner for this campaign. The News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses was launched to help young boys and girls across the country, aged 12 to 17, realise their football dreams.
Through this campaign, the Shemford Group of Schools is supporting the initiative, encouraging sportsmanship and inspiring children in its network of nearly 600 schools across India and other Asian countries.
An inter-school tournament under the TV9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses campaign was organised at Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, on November 8. Around 60 players and coaches from Shemford Pinjore, Shemford Barara (Ambala), and Shemford Srinagar (Garhwal) participated in the tournament.
During the event, the Shemford Group’s Chairman, Dr D.R. Arora, Director Dr Bimla Arora, Vice Chairman Amol Arora, and Executive Director Meenal Arora, along with Principal Dr Amita Singh Dhaka of Shemford Pinjore, also attended the tournament to encourage the students.
They stayed throughout the tournament and motivated the students to actively participate in the TV9 Network’s News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses. Both the officials and participating students praised the initiative, and highlighted that it provides a significant platform for young children.
The best players from the various school tournaments across India will be selected for the News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses Season 2 Finale. Ultimately, 30 boys and girls will be chosen from the tournaments and felicitated in Germany.
In the tournament, the Shemford Pinjore team won this triangular inter-school tournament, claiming the school tournament trophy and advancing TV9’s initiative further.

The participating players expressed their hope that their performance would earn them a spot among the selected players who will be sent to Germany for training by TV9 Network.
Additionally, Pradeep Kumar, Head of the Sports Department at Shemford School, said that the students are very excited about the TV9 Network’s News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses. The coaches and staff have also worked hard along with the students.
Overall, the TV9 Network’s News 9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses event at Shemford School in Panchkula was successful, and the enthusiasm of the students was brilliant.
