News9 Global Summit 2025: Some prominent personalities from the political and business sectors are participating in the News9 Global Summit in Stuttgart, Germany. In the second edition of the ‘News9 Global Summit’, leading German industrialists said in one voice that India’s brilliant talent and Germany’s unmatched manufacturing technology together can create a new history. In a very important session of the summit ‘GERMAN MANUFACTURING: NEVER FAILING, ALWAYS STRONG’, big personalities of the industry shared their expectations about India.

Thomas Fischer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MANN+HUMMEL, praised the Indian talent. He clearly said, “India has a special kind of talent. We have excellent technology, and if it gets the support of India’s best engineering talent, it will be tremendously beneficial not only for India but also for Germany.” He also emphasized that the enthusiasm that Indian youth have for their work is less visible in Germany. This energy is India’s biggest strength.

India’s development is no less than a miracle

When Matthias Lapp, CEO of LAPP Holding AG, was asked why his family decided to invest in India nearly three decades ago and what changes he sees today, his answer would make every Indian proud. He said, “My grandfather decided to do business in India in the 1990s and today India is our second largest market.” He further said, “The changes that have taken place in these years are amazing. India becoming the fourth largest economy in the world is no less than a miracle. India is continuously progressing and along with it our business is also growing.” In the same session, Dr. Christian Fiebig, Partner of MHP, described India’s supply chain management as excellent and said that it is the most important requirement for the development of any company.

India is the first choice for investment

Thomas Fisher showed a very positive outlook on investment prospects in India in the next five years. He said, “India has strong and good relations with many countries of the world, hence investment is certain to increase.” He reiterated that India’s young talent has the full potential to take this investment in the right direction. At the same time, when a question was asked about the perception of the Indian market that customers here want ‘five star products at three star prices’, Matthias Lapp said with a smile, “Everyone wants this. We take this as a serious challenge and opportunity and prepare our products with this thinking in mind.”
