New Zealand announce all-format schedule for India series spanning over 5 weeks in 2026, 2 more ODIs for Ro-Ko

India tour of New Zealand 2026: New Zealand (NZC) on June 3 announced the full schedule for all-format series at home against India, Sri Lanka. The all-format series against India features five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests. The number of ODIs have been increased from three to five. It is likely to be  and  ‘s last tour of New Zealand before ODI World Cup 2027.

 

The five-T20I series will begin on October 22 in Christchurch. The T20I series will end on November 1 in Hamilton. The ODI series will begin on November 4 and go on till November 15. The two Tests will begin on November 19 and 27 in Wellington and Christchurch respectively.

WTC points on offer

 

The two-Test series will be crucial for India’s chances of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 final. In the second half of Shubman Gill-led India’s WTC campaign, New Zealand will be the second destination. Their first Test series upon resumption is an away tour of Sri Lanka. After New Zealand tour, India will host Australia for Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2025-26.
