Indo-Europe
Recently, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar met German Foreign Minister Johan Wadeful. He told Germany that India wants to further strengthen its business relations with the European Union (EU). For this, India has to intensify the free trade agreement (FTA) with Europe and the support of Germany is necessary in this direction.
German Foreign Minister Wadeful is currently on a two -day visit to India and was in Bengaluru on Tuesday. His visit is part of the efforts to increase trade between India and Europe. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that India needs the trust and cooperation of Germany to make better relations with the European Union.
The challenges of the agreement between European Union and India
There are many issues in business talks between India and European Union, due to which the agreement is being delayed. The European Union wants India to reduce import taxes on its cars and dairy products. At the same time, they are also demanding to implement strict environmental and labor rules on Indian products.
At the same time, India’s effort is to protect its local farmers and industries. At the same time, India does not want to accept such rigorous environmental regulations that can prevent its economic progress. India also wants that in the event of any dispute, legal control should be in its hands.
