Viral footage shows assailants firing at car

The circulating clip appears to show two men attempting to fire at Shroff’s vehicle. One of them can be seen shooting several times, while the other also appears to try to use his weapon. The suspects are seen leaving the location on a motorcycle with a third person.

The incident has raised concerns about security in Mumbai, particularly after a series of attacks and threats involving prominent members of the film industry.

Bishnoi gang operatives claim responsibility

Following the shooting, two individuals identified as alleged Lawrence Bishnoi gang operatives, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, reportedly claimed responsibility through social media posts accompanied by a voice message.

In the message, they said, ‘We had called and explained to him (Tiger Shroff) but he did not understand. So today, we explained to him rather well that whoever in the Mumbai film industry does not abide by what we say or work with Salman Khan are next in line. Wait and watch.’

The claim has not been independently verified.

Tiger Shroff discharged, driver and bystander injured

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Kumar Garg said Shroff sustained minor abrasions, while his driver, Firdos, suffered a gunshot wound to his left hand. Both were taken to Nanavati Hospital. Shroff was later discharged, while his driver remained admitted and might require surgery.

An autorickshaw driver, 35-year-old Umesh Chavan, was also injured after being shot in the chest. He was taken to Cooper Hospital, where doctors described his condition as stable.

Police form 15 teams to track suspects

Police cordoned off the area and called in ballistics experts to collect shell casings. Officers have formed 15 teams to search for the accused and are examining nearby CCTV footage. One person was detained in Santacruz later that evening, though authorities had not disclosed the individual’s identity or suspected role at the time of publication.
