There is a lot of discussion about creative differences between Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production company Excel Entertainment and Ranveer Singh. It is being told that the matter was taken to the Producers Guild of India, but a settlement could not be reached. Quoting sources in the reports, it has been written that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s company Excel Entertainment has demanded compensation for the loss of Rs 40 crore from Ranveer. It is claimed that the actor suddenly left the film, due to which the project has suffered a financial setback. On behalf of Ranveer, it was said that there were differences regarding the creative direction and efforts were being made to change it.
Producers Guild advised both parties to take legal path
As the matter escalated, the dispute of ‘Don 3’ was placed before the Producers Guild of India. Reports suggest that the guild advised both parties to take the legal route as no agreement could be reached. Some big names of the industry also tried to find a solution by holding an informal meeting, but the dispute does not seem to be resolved at the moment.
Ranveer Singh’s claim – Hrithik Roshan was being replaced!
According to reports, Ranveer reportedly alleged that the makers of ‘Don 3’ were considering removing him and casting Hrithik Roshan. Although this has not been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, the news of Farhan Akhtar unfollowing Ranveer Singh on social media also added fuel to the controversy. It is noteworthy that Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh have previously worked together in the film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ released in 2015. Ranveer Singh was the hero in this film, while Farhan Akhtar also produced it and played an important role in it. Later, Ranveer has also worked as a lead hero in Farhan’s production house’s another film ‘Gully Boy’.
