The next-generation Toyota Fortuner is all set to make its global debut on December 1, 2026, while its India launch is expected to take place in 2027. The 2027 Toyota Fortuner has been undergoing testing for a long time, and several spy images and videos have already revealed key details about the upcoming SUV.
The all-new Fortuner is expected to receive significantly improved design, a more premium interior, and new techology and features, drawing heavy inspiration from the new Hilux pickup truck.

Improved Styling
Spy shots suggest that the all-new Fortuner will adopt a new design language, featuring a boxier and more squared-off silhouette. The front fascia will be revised with a redesigned large grille with a honeycomb-mesh and slim LED headlamps with LED DRLs connected by a thin gloss black strip.
Other design highlights could include pronounced wheel arches, new alloy wheels, a sharkfin antenna, roof rails, a more upright A-pillar, revised tailgate, tweaked rear bumper, a connected LED light bar and new taillamp graphics.
New Features & Tech
Significant upgrades will be made to its interior. The new Toyota Fortuner is expected to come with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, a fully digital instrument cluster, power adjustable front seats, a premium sound system and a sunroof.
ADAS & More?
One of the biggest upgrades could be the addition of Toyota Safety Sense package, the brand’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite. On the safety front, the SUV might also offer multiple airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system and front and rear parking sensors.
Engine & Gearbox Options
Mechanically, the 2027 Toyota Fortuner is expected to remain unchanged. The SUV lineup is likely to be offered with the existing 2.7-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 2.8-litre diesel and 2.8-litre diesel with mild hybrid powertrain options.
Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. Both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and 4WD (four-wheel drive) configurations will continue to be offered.
