Skoda has brought in just 50 units of the Kodiaq RS in the first batch, and the booking amount was Rs 3 lakh. Now, according to the Czech manufacturer, the Kodiaq RS sold out in just 6 minutes after its arrival. Mind you, the model’s pricing is not out yet, and as it will be a CBU model, we expect the price to be near Rs 65 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). For instance, the Octavia RS was sold out in 20 minutes, so the Kodiaq has achieved a new feat.

This kind of demand will help the brand to bring in more units of the model. Now, Skoda has also seen this kind of demand for the Octavia RS, and the automaker is planning to bring in the second batch of Octavia RS to India. And soon after the price reveal of the Kodiaq RS, we could see a second batch of the Kodiaq RS entering India as well.

What Else?

Skoda has recently released the brochure for the new Kodiaq RS. The model gets sporty styling and RS badging on the outside. The interiors also offer a sporty vibe, with an all-black theme, red stitching, and red accents, including RS badging on the seats. The RS model rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, which are an inch larger than the regular model.

However, the major change is under the hood. The Kodiaq RS uses the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 261bhp and 400Nm, which is 60bhp and 80Nm more than the regular model. Transmission options include a 7-speed DSG. Skoda Claims that this SUV can sprint from 0-100 in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of 231 km/h.
