Also, when the ball is changed, the umpire will inform the batsman and the fielding captain about it.
Fielding team allowed to change the ball
But apart from this, there is a big and important rule of changing the ball in the second innings, which can have a big impact on the matches. According to this, in the evening matches, the team bowling in the second innings can ask for change of ball once after the 10th over. However, the demand for changing the ball can be made only once. This has been done because often in evening matches, the ball becomes wet due to dew, due to which the fielding team has to face problems. Keeping this in view, this rule has been made. But it is not necessary to have dew to change the ball.
But this condition has to be fulfilled
However, there is a condition in this also. The fielding team can ask for change of ball only after the end of the over. This will not be allowed in between overs. Also, the fielding team will not get a new ball in this position, but will get another ball in almost the same position. However, it is also clear that if the condition of the ball deteriorates even after that, then the umpire can decide to change the ball as per his convenience.
