MP Healthcare Expantion 2025: New medical colleges and hospitals are opening in Madhya Pradesh under the expansion of health facilities. Medical education and health services are getting new heights in the state due to the initiative of CM Shivraj.
Madhya Pradesh New Medical Colleges: Madhya Pradesh has made a special identity across the country in the field of health. The work that is being done here to land the schemes prepared from Delhi has become an example for the rest of the states. This is the reason why Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prasad Nadda said on Monday that “Madhya Pradesh is playing a leading role in health care facility and innovation”.
On Monday, Union Health Minister Nadda and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the new government medical colleges in Virtual Sheopur and Singrauli district at a grand event held in Jabalpur. 100-100 MBBS seats have also been allowed in both these institutions, which will now start the direct admission process here. On this occasion, Nadda said that India is today the first country in the world to provide health coverage of Rs 5 lakh to its large population annually.

New dimension in health services, Medical College to PPP model
In the program, contracts were also made to create a medical college on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models in Betul, Katni, Dhar and Panna districts. The Union Minister and the Chief Minister started handing over the Vandana card to 8 lakh senior citizens of the state from the stage and launched ‘Ayushman Sakhi’ Smart Chatbot.
Nadda said that due to the visionary policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more prevention is being focused in the health sector than the cure. Work on maternal-infant health, cancer, hypertension, diabetes and sickle cell anemia is running in mission mode. He also informed that today there are 780 medical colleges and 1.70 lakh MBBS seats in the country, and the target is to increase 75 thousand new seats in the next 5 years.
Chief Minister Yadav’s resolution – Medical college in every district
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the expansion of health services in the state is the top priority of the government. In the year 2003, where there were only 5 medical colleges, today there have been 32 medical colleges including government and private. The government aims to establish a medical or Ayurvedic college in every district and the public can get high -level health facilities.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla informed that there will be 26 government medical colleges in the state in the coming time. On the other hand, Principal Secretary Sandeep Yadav said that this day is historic in the field of medical education because a large number of people are benefiting from the health mission, liver campaign and Ayushman scheme in the state.
