Maruti Suzuki is on the verge of launching the Brezza facelift in the country. It is an important vehicle for the brand as it has been one of the best-sellers in the B Segment Sub 4m SUV space and a consistent volume generator for the brand. It takes on its arch nemesis in the form of Tata Nexon along with others like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and others.
The launch is set to happen on 24th July, 2026 and official for a nominal price of Rs 11,000. Ahead of the grand launch, Maruti Brezza facelift have started to arrive at dealerships, showing expected changes in design, features list and equipment.
Brezza Facelift Arrives At Dealer Yard
A recent video by Abhay Sontakke has surfaced on the internet showing a Brezza facelift reaching dealerships ahead of launch. Brezza facelift is being unloaded from the truck and the front fascia and side profile can be seen. This particular model in the video seems to be a lower-end variant and dons steel wheels.
The front fascia has been revised with slightly reworked headlights, new grille and front bumper. Even the housing for fog lights is new, which is now in a triangular shape. Lower variants might get projector halogen headlights, while higher variants may get LED headlights. Fog lights could be LEDs too.
There will be new alloy wheel design with higher variants as seen in previous spy shots. Rear seems to be an area where there are very few changes and same is the case with interiors as well. There seems to be a larger touchscreen infotainment screen and other changes to bring Brezza in line with evolving competition.
Powertrain Updates
Main update with Brezza facelift will be in the powertrain department. We’re talking about the addition of a new 1.0 Turbo Petrol engine option which is likely to be shared with Fronx Turbo. This BoosterJet engine could get a different tune to suit Brezza’s character with up to 120 PS of power, which is what Nexon, Venue, Sonet and even the smaller Punch Turbo offers.
In Fronx, this 1.0L 3-cylinder BoosterJet engine is tuned to make 99 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which is a first for a Brezza. 6-speed torque converter automatic might be on offer too. With CNG variants, there might be an underbody CNG tank, liberating boot space.
This is the first time is updating the Brezza and it is one of India’s best-selling SUVs. So, the hype and anticipation is quite high.
