Now a golden opportunity has come for the farmers in animal husbandry activities, which is considered the backbone of the rural economy. The Central Government has launched the facility of Animal Husbandry Kisan Credit Card (KCC), which will provide an opportunity to small and medium scale animal farmers to increase their income and expand their business.
Let us tell you that now farmers can easily take loan for fodder, medicine, vaccination, shed construction and other important expenses of their cattle. This will not only get rid of expensive money lending, but will also pave the way for expanding business.
This scheme is special because:
Farmers involved in dairy farming, cow-buffalo, goat-sheep, poultry farming and fisheries can take advantage of this. Self Help Groups (SHGs) can also avail this facility. Small farmers will now get opportunities to become self-reliant in their business.
The application process is also very easy. Farmers can fill the KCC form by visiting their nearest bank branch, CSC center or PACS. Aadhaar card, bank account and animal husbandry information have to be submitted along with the form. After checking the documents, the bank will decide the credit limit as per the eligibility and after approval, will issue the KCC card.
