New LED lighting signatures, logo on bonnet teased for the upcoming Honda Elevate closely match those of the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept showcased in Japan earlier this year
Honda manufactures the Elevate in India and exports it to Japan, where it is sold as the WR-V since March 2024. Now India is getting ready for and the facelift Elevate seems to have a Japan connection.
Honda Elevate teasers have revealed an interesting connection with a concept showcased in Japan. The upcoming India-spec SUV appears to draw styling inspiration from the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept displayed at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026 in January this year.

Matching Front And Rear LED Lighting
In the front, WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept features three horizontal illuminated elements across the upper grille, positioned between the slim lighting signatures within the headlamp assemblies. Honda India’s Elevate teasers show a matching three-section arrangement, giving the familiar front profile a distinctive new appearance.
Even the sculpted detailing beneath these illuminated sections looks closely related in the images. The concept pairs this treatment with an orange accent running across the grille, although that colour detail is not clearly established by the India teasers.

Honda badge placement is another shared detail. On the outgoing Elevate, the emblem sits prominently in the front grille. In the latest teasers, it moves to the leading edge of the bonnet, matching the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept.
At the rear, the resemblance is equally noticeable. The concept gets two closely spaced red illuminated lines stretching across the tailgate and meeting the outer tail lamps. The Elevate teaser shows a similar twin-line treatment around the centrally positioned Honda badge.

What Was The WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept?
Honda showcased the WR-V alongside CR-V, ZR-V and Vezel TrailSport HRC concepts at Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2026. The display brought an adventure-oriented design theme to its SUV range, drawing on Honda Racing Corporation’s experience in off-road racing.
The WR-V concept combined its distinctive lighting with a grey exterior, dark wheels, chunky tyres and roof crossbars. Orange highlights around the fog-lamp housings and along the lower body added contrast, while bonnet graphics and HRC branding completed the show-car treatment.

New Elevate Cabin Updates Also Teased
Earlier teasers have already indicated changes inside the Elevate, including revised dashboard trim, lighter upholstery and orange ambient lighting along the dashboard and doors. These suggest a cabin refresh alongside the exterior revisions.
A dedicated interior mirror shot has also raised the possibility of a digital IRVM, although its operation remains unclear. Other anticipated features, including ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera, await confirmation.
The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine and manual/CVT options are expected to continue. Bookings are open, while launch will take place on 6th October. India is the first country where the Elevate facelift is getting launched.
