Yogi government’s ‘Modern Gurukul Model’ is shaping the future of the children of UP. Through Atal Residential Schools and CM Abhyudaya Vidyalayas, children from labor families are getting free modern education, housing and better facilities.
The society which was once divided in unequal opportunities for education is now moving towards an era where children from labor families are also getting the same facilities which were often limited only to a select group. The pivot of this change is the educational model of the Yogi Adityanath government, which has created a new hope by connecting the soul of the old Gurukul with the body of the modern system.
Atal Residential School: New light of confidence among children of labor families
Under the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Atal Residential Schools established in each of the 18 mandals of the state have now become a life-changing initiative for labor families. These schools have provided thousands of children with not only education but also a sense of respect, security and equal opportunity.
In the second phase, extensive preparations are being made for the expansion of CM Abhyudaya Vidyalayas. The goal is clear – to provide quality education to every Nyay Panchayat and to create an environment in which every child can fully develop his talent.
Principal of Atal Residential School, Lalitpur, Jiya Lal says that completely free, modern and disciplined education is being provided to the children by the team of qualified teachers. This effort to connect the children of workers with the mainstream is becoming an example of new social change.

‘Modern Gurukul’ equipped with modern resources

In these schools, children of registered workers, children orphaned by Corona and beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana are also getting education. This unique confluence of ability and opportunity is proving that talent is not dependent on any class or situation.
Expansion of Abhyudaya Vidyalayas: Resolve to provide education to every Panchayat
In the third phase, CM Abhyudaya Vidyalayas will be expanded to 825 urban bodies and in the fourth phase, there is a plan to extend them to about 8000 Nyaya Panchayats. This will be the first time that children living in villages will also get an environment which can prepare them for future challenges.
Path to empowerment through education
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath believes that real empowerment of any society is possible only through education. Atal Residential School and Abhyudaya School are the embodiment of the same thinking on the ground.
This model is not only promoting equality in education, strengthening eligibility for government assistance, providing opportunities to a new generation of rural and labor families, but will also endow Uttar Pradesh with skilled, self-reliant and excellent youth power in the years to come.
