New flight for tribal community under the leadership of CM Mohan Yadav: Income increased, big improvement in education-health-employment.

MP Tribal Welfare Schemes: Madhya Pradesh government is fully committed to the prosperity of the tribal community. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, many steps have been taken in education, health, employment and cultural preservation. The plans were strengthened by increasing the budget.

Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is fully committed to the prosperity and development of the tribal community. Due to the schemes and efforts of the government, the tribal community is progressing in every field. This year, the budget for tribal welfare has been increased to Rs 47,295 crore, which is Rs 6,491 crore more than last year. Due to this, the state has today become the leading state in the country in terms of tribal welfare.

Better opportunities for economic development for the tribal community

The Chief Minister said that the tribal community is being given better opportunities for economic development. Under the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, the government is giving them the benefits of schemes and making them self-reliant by including them in the mainstream of the society. Many historic efforts and innovations have been made especially for the development and welfare of the Backward and Vulnerable Tribes (PVTG). Through these efforts, the tribal community is not only able to protect its rights, but is also preserving its culture and traditions.

Education and employment opportunities

The Chief Minister said that tribal youth are being given the opportunity to participate in selection competitions through education. To make them economically self-reliant, new livelihood options and necessary means are being provided. Besides, initiatives have also been taken to connect their traditional culture with livelihood.

Rights to water, forest, land and wild animals

The Government has ensured the rights of the tribal community to protect their natural resources such as land, water, forests and wild life. Extensive steps have also been taken for forest rights, education, health and cultural conservation.

Gram Sabhas empowered by PESA rules

With the implementation of PESA rules in Madhya Pradesh, tribal village councils have got rights over their resources and traditional systems. Now the Gram Sabhas themselves are deciding the development plans of their villages, which has established a strong foundation towards self-governance in the tribal areas. They are making development plans for their villages themselves.

Remuneration of tendu leaf collectors increased

The remuneration of lakhs of tendu leaf collectors, who are involved in the livelihood of the tribal community, has now been increased to Rs 4,000 per standard bag. This has increased their income and strengthened the rural economy. They have benefited from the increase in tendu leaf trade.

Prime Minister Janman and Dharti Aaba schemes promote development

In the state, under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man and Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh, development works worth more than Rs 68 crore 30 lakh have been inaugurated and foundation stone laid. Besides, 66 Mobile Medical Units (MMU) have also been started in 21 districts to improve and make health facilities easily available in tribal areas.

Expansion of Sickle Cell Eradication Mission

Sickle Cell Hemoglobinopathy Mission has been implemented in all 89 tribal development blocks in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently distributed the one croreth sickle cell screening and counseling card in the state, which is a historic moment.

Encouragement through education and scholarship

To encourage the education of all the students of tribal category, the period of giving scholarship to them has been increased from 10 months in a year to 12 months i.e. one year. Their hostels have been made well equipped. Bravery stories and stories of tribal heroes have been included in the school curriculum. The biography of Lord Birsa Munda ji will now become a part of the school education curriculum. All the tribal girls residential education complexes of the state have now been named ‘Mata Shabari Girls Education Complex’. This is an unmatched example of giving respect to the tribes.

First in construction of Anganwadi building

Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in construction of Anganwadi buildings under PM Jan-Man program. The backward tribes (Baiga, Bharia, Sahariya) have benefited from this. Maternal and child health, nutrition and elementary education have improved.

The state government renamed Alirajpur district as ‘Alirajpur’ to honor the tribal pride and identity. This decision is a symbol of tribal identity and their cultural renaissance.
