Varanasi, January 4: At the inauguration of the 72nd Senior National Volleyball Championship, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, while addressing the players, said that the country where the players are ahead, moves towards the highest peak. He said that every player who plays with sportsmanship on the field wins and is ready with new enthusiasm outside the field.
PM Modi filled new energy in players
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that after 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a new Ganga for the development of sports in the country. He told that now the budget of all sports has been increased manifold. Earlier sports used to remain a mere formality, but now players get every possible respect and encouragement.

Strict policy against corruption in sports
Referring to the example of corruption in the Commonwealth Games that took place during the Congress government, Brajesh Pathak said that now there is no such possibility. The Prime Minister himself engages with the players, listens to their experiences and ensures respect for them on the international stage.
Support of state government: Direct posting on higher posts
He said that the Uttar Pradesh government has also increased the sports budget manifold. Players are getting opportunities for training and education through schemes like Major Dhyan Chand University in Meerut. Along with this, players are also being given direct posting on higher posts, due to which their social and economic status is being strengthened.
India’s flag on the international stage
Brajesh Pathak said that the winning players in this competition will be selected for the national team. They will hoist the flag of Mother India in international competitions. The state government and the central government are providing every possible facility for them.
