Prior to Bihar elections 2025, the political drama has intensified in the seat sharing and the post of Chief Minister. Chirag Paswan’s party has increased the problems of BJP-Jdu by claiming claim to CM post.
Bihar Election 2025 Latest Update: A new drama has been sparked in political circles amid preparations for Bihar assembly elections 2025. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has submitted a big claim for the post of Chief Minister amidst the ongoing talks over seat sharing in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Arun Bharti, Bihar in -charge of LJP and brother -in -law of Chirag Paswan, openly said in a press conference held in Hajipur that Bihar will be in the hand of Chirag Paswan for the next two decades.
People considering Chirag Paswan the next head of Bihar: Arun Bharti
Arun Bharti said, “Chirag Paswan will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar and he will provide strong leadership like Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar. The public is also considering him the next head of Bihar.” He also mentioned that the political atmosphere changes every 15-20 years and now the time of change in Bihar has come. However, this statement came when other constituents of NDA have made it clear that Nitish Kumar will be the candidate for the post of Chief Minister in the assembly elections. Chirag Paswan also accepted Nitish Kumar’s leadership till some time ago. But there has been a sudden change in the party’s stance regarding seat sharing formula.
Chirag’s party can get 20 seats
It is believed that according to the formula prepared for seat sharing in NDA, Lok Janshakti Party (Ra) is proposed to get 20 seats, but Chirag Paswan is not satisfied for them and the party demands more than 40 seats. Arun Bharti, a party leader, has been forwarded to this demand, which has become a challenge for other parties of the coalition.
Robbaining in NDA
This increasing demand of Chirag Paswan and the claim of Chief Ministerial post is increasing restlessness within NDA. Political equations inside the coalition have become complicated and tense. In Bihar, the BJP and JDU strategists are taking their steps carefully due to the increasing pressure of the Lok Janshakti Party so that the alliance can be saved from breaking. Chirag Paswan, who contested 145 seats for his party in the 2020 assembly elections, did not give the expected results, but his strategy had created a challenge for JDU. In that election, Lok Janshakti Party secured 5.66 percent of the votes.
Political analysts believe that the pressure of Chirag is an attempt to strengthen its credibility in the coalition along with boosting the morale of his party workers. However, JDU does not want to reduce its main party status and seats under any circumstances. The conversation is still going on, and the seat sharing has not been finalized.
Chirag’s party engaged in showing strength
The party is busy showing its political strength in the Navsankalp General Assembly being organized by the leaders of the Lok Janshakti Party. On September 4, there is a preparation to make the new Sankalp Sabha to be held in Muzaffarpur historic, which can have a big impact in the politics of Bihar. The political pitch of Bihar is now once again about a new battle, where seats and power divide remains. The increasing ambition of Chirag Paswan and his party will intensify the political tension in the NDA, which can greatly affect the electoral formula.
