New BJP chief to be finalised? Key 3-day RSS meet in Jodhpur next month

Amid speculation that a new BJP President would be finalised, the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) will hold a three-day coordination meeting in Jodhpur from September 5 to 7. The name of the new BJP President is likely to be discussed at the meeting.

The high-profile meeting would be attended by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, the Sah Sarkaryavahs (joint general secretaries) and all members of the RSS National Executive committee, including the coordinators.

All the heads of the sub-organisations of the RSS and the RSS Ministers will also be present at the meeting.

Apart from this, representatives of 32 organisations, including the BJP, ABVP, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Vanvasi Kalyan and Seva Samiti will be present at the meeting.

BJP chief JP Nadda, organisational head BL Santosh, and other party leaders like Sunil Bansal, Shivprakash, Saudan Singh and V Satish will also be present.

At the meeting, all the organisations will present their one-year report and many contemporary topics, including the US trade tariffs, will be discussed.

According to sources, the name of the new BJP President may also be discussed at the meeting. Also, discussions regarding the preparations of the centenary year programmes of the RSS will be held.

Meanwhile, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat will be in Delhi on August 26 and August 28 at Vigyan Bhavan where he will be meeting prominent personalities from different fields. On August 28, he will be answering the questions asked in writing over the two days.

A similar programme was organised by the RSS in September 2018 at Vigyan Bhavan.
