Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has introduced the vision of “developed UP @2047”. In this, women empowerment and business development have been described as the mainstay of the progress of the state.
Due to the continuous efforts made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the last eight and a half years, both daughter and businessmen are feeling safe in the state today. Due to this, women form Lakshmi form are making themselves stronger, as well as creating an atmosphere of industry-trade in the state. With this thinking, CM Yogi has now revealed the vision of “developed UP @2047”, in which self -sufficient women and bumper trade are considered as the basic basis of state’s progress.
Before the year 2017, Uttar Pradesh was surrounded by many challenges. Gundaraj, mafia system and crime kept the most troubled women and entrepreneurs and traders in the state. Daughters were also afraid of going to school and college, while the traders were either forced to pay goonda tax and extortion. The unemployment rate was 6.2 percent and the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) was only 44.6 percent. The biggest concern was the female labor participation rate, which was stuck at just 13.5 percent. Investors were afraid to enter the state and many factories had reached the verge of closure. Industrial activities were starting to stop and the employment crisis was getting deeper.
The Yogi government adopted a policy of zero tolerance against crime and criminals in the last eight and a half years. The criminals either appeared behind the bars of the jail or went to the other world, leaving the state and ran away, leaving the state. After this, along with women safety, the doors of empowerment of women started showing extensive basic changes in the field of investment openly. The LFPR of the state increased from 44.6 percent to 56.9 percent. The female labor participation rate also rose historic and it increased from 13.5 to 34.5 percent directly. The unemployment rate came down to 3 percent and created 1.65 crore jobs from the MSME sector alone. Industrial loan increased from Rs 3.54 lakh crore to Rs 9.24 lakh crore. Meanwhile, agreements were reached on investment proposals of Rs 45 lakh crore, out of which projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore have also landed on the ground.
The efforts of the Yogi government have brought new life to industrial activities in the state. The number of registered factories has increased from 14,169 to 27,295. Under the ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme, 77 products have got GI tag, after which Uttar Pradesh has reached the first place at the national level. The number of MSME units increased to 96 lakhs, which is the highest in the entire country. It not only became a major source of employment generation, but also strengthened the identity of Uttar Pradesh in the global market. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath believes that the most important pillar of ‘developed UP @2047’ is women empowerment. The government aims that by 2030, the women’s labor participation rate in the state should be 50 percent and by 2047 it reached the equal men. For this, women will be provided opportunities for education, technical training and entrepreneurship for women. Kishori welfare, nutrition and health services will be further strengthened. Hostels will be arranged in every city according to their needs by 2030 and 2047 for women workers.
The government aims to become number one in the country in manufacturing exports by 2047 and also reached the top in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI). The roadmap is ready to include five industrial companies in the state in the list of Fortune Global 500. For this, aerospace, defense production, apparels, electric vehicles and semiconductors have been made a strategic column. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clarified that the future industry in Uttar Pradesh will not only provide employment, but will also become a model of sustainable development. In this direction, special emphasis is being laid on the inclusion of Ease of Doing Business, Green Manufacturing, Industrial Infrastructure, Policy Infrastructure, Technology Adoption and MSME in the Global Value Chain.
The state has set a target of $ 6 trillion $ 6 trillion under ‘developed UP @2047’. For this, an average growth rate will have to be maintained from 2025 to 2047. Currently the state’s GDP is $ 353 billion, which will be brought to 1000 billion by 2030, 2000 billion by 2036 and $ 6000 billion by 2047. At that time, per capita income will be up to Rs 26 lakh and UP will contribute 20 percent to the total GDP of the country.
