New Ather EL Electric Scooter Platform Teased Ahead of August 30 Debut

New Delhi: Ather is all set to introduce their new scooter platform EL electric on its Community Day 30 August 2025. The company’s Co founder & CEO, Tarun Mehta, gave a big hint about the launch and posted on X Super excited to unveil our next generation scooter platform EL in the upcoming Ather Community Day.

According to Ather the new EL platform is engineered to be all rounder and cost efficient, which helps the company to enlarge their product manufacturing and get them a wider range of customers. Currently, Unlike its competitors, Ather does not yet offer an electric scooter below the range of Rs.1 lakh. Competitors including Bajaj, TVS, Ola Electric, Vida (Hero), and Greaves already have scooters below the range of  Rs.1 lakh. The upcoming EL platform might be Ather’s answer. Ather is also working on its next generation of Grid fast chargers, which it claims will make charging quicker and more convenient.

What is Ather Community Day

Ather Community Day is the company’s annual festival that brings together riders, fans, and electric vehicle enthusiasts for a day of celebration. It is not only for  product launches, attendees can also enjoy ride experiences, company updates, fun activities, and the chance to connect with fellow community members.

Tarun Mehta has planned something special lined up for this Community Day, as he mentioned in his new X post. He states, After refusing to do one for years, for the first time, we are showcasing a concept vehicle. Not bound by constraints of production or launch. It’s a glimpse into our new ideas on performance, design and engineering to push the limits of what a vehicle can be.

This is Ather’s take on the future, how it could look, feel, and sound. And quite different from anything we have built before. This year, on 30 August 2025 the event is being held at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation in Bengaluru from 10AM onwards. People aged 12 and above need a ticket to join the event.
