New Delhi: Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi recently made his Korean debut opposite K-drama favourite Chae Soo-bin in an ad for Crocs Japan.
As Soo-bin walks down a street amid heavy rain, Siddhant passes by in his car and splashes rainwater on her.
As Soo-bin walks down a little further, she finds Siddhant trying to fix his car’s flat tyre. She walks towards him and offers her umbrella, and the two continue on a romantic walk, flaunting their crocs.
However, Siddhant’s ad failed to impress netizens who started trolling the actor.
“Korean actress Chae Soobin with Indian actor Siddhant Chaturvedi filmed in India for a Crocs Japan ad… what kind of crossover is this,” wrote a user on X.
Another quipped, “I can’t tell if I like or dislike Siddhant Chaturvedi in this Korean style rom com but I think he should be the first actor from India to headline a K show (which is not an Ekta Kapoor show) 🙂↔️.”
“Korean team had whitewashed him for this ad to blend,” mocked one.
Another person quipped, “How much whitening has to be done to be in this ad lol.”
One user remarked, “This looks so AI-generated help.”
