Netflix is now streaming a gory, one-of-a-kind revenge thriller fans are saying deserves to launch a huge franchise.
Likened to the Keanu Reeves-led John Wick series, this riveting 2023 film is a must-watch in its own right but is actually already a sequel to a 2020 indie movie.
The Wrath of Becky follows the titular teen, played by Lulu Wilson, embark on another quest for revenge three years after Neo-Nazis invaded her home and killed her father.
This time, Becky is working as a waitress when she runs afoul of a trio of extremists, who follow her to her new home and kidnap her beloved dog, Diego.
She quickly realises she needs to revive her violent ways to take revenge and sets about causing carnage for the gang the only way she knows how.
The blood-drenched, bone-crunching thriller has already scored rave reviews from horror buffs and is sure to attract an even wider cult following now The Wrath of Becky is streaming on Netflix.
One Letterboxd user pleaded: “can i have 20 more movies of becky killing white supremecists pleeaaaseeee.”
Another fan agreed: “I LOVE these movies. There’s no reason why they shouldn’t churn one out every few years or so for the foreseeable future. Becky can still be f***ing people up well into middle age.”
And added: “It’s even more of a massively cathartic stress reliever, impressively lean and taut and propulsive, spending its first half hour introducing the white supremacist bad guys and then the next hour letting Becky have at them.”
Someone else said: “God I want like 7 more Becky movies with her unloading on Neo-Nazi jacka**es.”
“She’s basically the female version of a teenage John Wick,” a fourth user wrote.
“Don’t f*** with her or her dog. Period. Absolutely loved this one a bit more then the first one!! Would definitely love to see a third one!!”
“They could make 100 films about Becky slaying Proud Boys and Neo Nazis and I would watch every single one of them,” another passionate fan declared.
