Prayagraj TV Journalist Lynching Stabbing Case: A sensational incident has happened in Sangam city. At midnight, TV journalist LN Singh was stabbed to death in a fight in Civil Lines, accused Vishal injured in a half-encounter with police, investigation into the murder continues.
Prayagraj. In Sangam city Prayagraj, late on Thursday night, a TV journalist was brutally murdered by being stabbed in Civil Lines, a posh area of the city. After the information, the police swung into action and arrested a murderer in a half-encounter. His companion is being searched. Police say that a day earlier the journalist had a dispute with some people over setting up a fruit stall near the protest site in Civil Lines. The case is being investigated.

Lakshmi Narayan Singh alias Pappu, resident of Shakuntala Kunj Colony, located near Mundera octroi under Dhumanganj police station, was originally a resident of Ballia. He was living in Prayagraj for a long time. His uncle Ashok Singh is a well-known advocate of Allahabad High Court and former president of the High Court Bar Association. LN Singh alias Pappu Singh (54) used to work for a TV channel for a long time.

According to eyewitnesses, he had gone to GHS Road in Civil Lines for some work at around 10.30 pm on Thursday night. There he had a fight with a young man named Sahil. During the fight, Vishal and other boys came from Sahil’s side. During the dispute a fight broke out. During the fight, Vishal etc attacked Lakshmi Narayan Singh several times with a knife. Due to which he fell there bleeding. As soon as he fell, the attackers ran away. As soon as the information was received, Civil Lines Police reached the spot.
Doctors declared him dead in SRN hospital
Injured Lakshmi Narayan Singh was immediately taken to SRN Hospital. Where he died during treatment after about an hour. Upon coming to know, family members also reached the spot. The news of the murder of the nephew of journalist and former High Court Bar Association President Ashok Singh created panic in the police department. On the spot, DCP Manish Shandilya, Additional CP Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma and other police officers reached SRN Hospital.
How was the encounter with the attacking criminal?
Additional CP Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma went straight to the spot from SRN Hospital. After investigation there, they surrounded the attackers. During the siege, an attacker came under police siege. Who, while trying to escape, started firing at the police team. In retaliation by the police, the criminal was shot in the leg and injured. According to the police, the injured has been identified as Vishal. He has been admitted to SRN Hospital for treatment.
Whom did the journalist call and request for help during the attack?
Senior advocate Ashok Singh told that Pappu had called in the night and said, uncle, save me, I informed my junior lawyer and Inspector Civil Lines Ramashray Yadav. When we reached the spot, LN Singh was lying in a pool of blood. More than two dozen knife wounds were clearly visible on his body. The comets had come out. He was declared dead in the hospital. Journalist LN Singh had a dispute with the attackers on Wednesday. He was murdered in the same dispute on Thursday.
The accused had purchased the knife from Fish Market, Khuldabad.
Additional Commissioner of Police Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma said that the evidence found from the crime scene and the statements of eyewitnesses revealed that LN Singh was attacked by Vishal along with some other people. Vishal had purchased a knife from the fish market in Khuldabad, which he later used to attack LN Singh. Dr Sharma said that in the late night encounter near the crime scene, the accused was hit by three bullets in his legs and got injured. He has been admitted to the hospital. Efforts are being made to trace another accused involved in the murder, while two other suspects have been detained for questioning. Initial investigation reveals that there was a fight between the accused and the deceased a few days ago.
