In view of protests and violence in Nepal, the Government of India has issued advisory for its citizens. Indian citizens present in Nepal have been asked to live in their homes. President Ram Chandra Paudel has resigned.
Nepal violence updates: Nepal is burning in the fire of violence. Prime Minister K.K. P. Sharma Oli has resigned. The protesters attacked former Nepal’s former PM Sher Bahadur Deuba and his wife and Foreign Minister Arju Rana. Nepal Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel has also been beaten. President Ram Chandra Paudel has left the post.
Government of India issued advisory for its citizens
India’s Foreign Ministry has issued an advisory warning its citizens not to travel to Nepal until the situation is stable. Indians present in Nepal have been urged to stay indoors. Avoid getting out on the streets. Follow the security instructions issued by local authorities and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. The embassy has also shared emergency helpline numbers for assistance: +977–980 860 2881 (WhatsApp call also), +977–981 032 6134 (WhatsApp call).
2 protesters killed in police firing in Kathmandu
Two protesters were killed in a police firing in Kalimati on Tuesday amid violence erupted in Kathmandu. Due to this, the death toll in protests in Nepal has increased to 22. The incident occurred when the protesters set fire to the local police circle and attacked the officers. After this, security forces had to firing bullets in retaliation.
Kathmandu Airport closed, flight canceled
Kathmandu Airport has been closed due to protests. Air India canceled all flights from Delhi to Kathmandu on Tuesday. IndiGo has also announced to suspend all flights visiting Kathmandu.

Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel resigns
Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel has resigned. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has already left the post. There is no government in Nepal at this time. Political turmoil has increased further in Nepal. The protesters have demanded the appointment of Balendra Shah as an interim Prime Minister. Balendra Shah has appealed to the people for peace.
