The death toll from the devastating Nepal floods has climbed to 1,356, with around 4,994 people still missing, even as the India-Nepal joint technical team continued to make steady progress in the Chilime tunnel rescue operation.
According to the latest update by Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), bodies have been recovered from Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahun, Chitwan, Nawalparasi East and Nawalparasi West, including various unidentified human remains.
