Fauja singh diet: Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner, died at the age of 114. He went on a walk in Biaas Pind village of Jalandhar district of Punjab at around 3:30 am on July 14, when an unknown vehicle hit him. He was rushed to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead. Even at the age of 114, Fauja Singh was not only physically active but also mentally fit. His life was a proof of the fact that a long and healthy life can be lived by adopting the right lifestyle.
Fauja Singh used to avoid sweet and never used to eat stomach, always hungry a little hungry and was involved in his rules. Walking after eating and light workouts or walks during the day was part of their routine. They used to say, whatever you eat, eat with simplicity and make sure to digest it. According to him, plain food and self-restraint are needed long and healthy life.
Fauja Singh’s long life and the biggest secret of fitness was his very simple but balanced diet. He was completely vegetarian and stayed away from fast food or more spicy things. His day used to start with lemonade and breakfast included green vegetables with porridge or wheat bread. Lunch used to have plain dal, roti and seasonal vegetables. They used to drink plenty of water throughout the day. He used to take the wage or say that the plant took the best diet. In research, this diet has been described as a long life.

Fauja Singh believed that the more physical health is necessary, the more necessary mental balance is also. He said many times that expressions like anxiety, anger and jealousy weaken the body from within. He always smiled and had positive thinking. It was the rule of his mental strength to spend time with his family, walk daily, talk to children and keep himself busy. He believed that every day of life is a gift and he should live with a smile. Fauja Singh’s lifestyle teaches that fitness is not only limited to exercise and diet, it is equally important to keep the heart and mind healthy.
