ADCP Varuna Zone Neetu Kadyan, while disclosing the incident, said that the arrested accused are Mohit Yadav, resident of Meerapur Basahi, and his wife Anjali Chauhan. After the murder, both of them were planning to escape to Mumbai by taking a train. Then Shivpur police and SOG team caught him. Mohit Yadav told the police that earlier he lived in the neighborhood of Anganwadi worker Anupama in Sharda Vihar Colony. Anupama’s husband Shailesh Kumar Patel sells packaged milk and curd. He often went to Anupama’s house to get milk or curd. During this time, Anupama started getting closer to him. Then she started talking about not being able to have a child even after treatment. She started having sex with him to have a child. She used to say that she will also give 50 thousand rupees when the child is born.
Meanwhile, the young man got married to Anjali for love. Even after this the woman would pressurize her to have a relationship. Troubled by this, the young man started living with his wife in a rented room in Pandeypur. The young man told the police that when the distance started increasing, Anupama started blackmailing him. After this he told the whole thing to his wife Anjali. Anjali and the young man, fed up with blackmailing, conspired to murder the woman.

On Thursday morning the young man along with his wife went near the woman’s house. Both of them did Reiki for half an hour. After this, his wife got the door opened on the pretext of taking curd. When the wife went inside, the young man also left from behind. He held the woman from behind and first slit her throat. After this he crushed his head with a mortar. To make the incident look like robbery and theft, they took away the jewelery and cash kept in the cupboard and ran away from there.

The woman’s jewelery worth Rs 2 lakh and more than Rs 73 thousand have been recovered from the couple. The blade and baton used in the murder have been recovered.
