NC Classic 2025: Neeraj Chopra has dominated the inaugural NC Classic 2025 with an impressive finish. India’s Golden Boy clinched gold at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.
The two-time Olympic medalist has fulfilled the ambition to host a world-class athletic event in the country, which was also the first-of-it’s kind javelin meet organized in India.
Neeraj Chopra Clinches Podium Finish, Secures Gold At Inaugural NC Classic 2025
At the Sree Kanteerava Stadium which was filled with nearly 14,500 attendees, India witnessed the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 with top athletes putting everything on the line to clinch the top prize. All eyes were on India’s Golden Boy, who delivered over expectations in windy conditions which challenged all participants. The spectators were amazed from the start to finish as the javelin was launched by athletes as they aimed for the top prize in the athletic meet.
Neeraj Chopra delivered a smashing performance despite the windy conditions, pulling off an 86.18m throw to secure the lead in the competition. India’s Golden boy delivered the winning effort on his third attempt.
India’s Golden Boy started with a foul attempt at first and went on to deliver a successful an 82.99m attempt. Neeraj’s attempt was the deal-breaker as he clinched an 86.18m attempt. He had a foul on his fourth try, but he went on to deliver two successful attempts with 84.07 and 82.22m throws, respectively.
It’s truly remarkable to witness that the athlete after whom the event was named has went on to win the international javelin meet.
Julius Yego Clinched Silver, Pathirage Bags The Bronze At Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025
Kenya’s Julius Yego has claimed the second spot and won the silver medal with a successful 84.51m attempt. The Kenyan athlete looked firmly dominant, clinching the number two spot.
Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage had picked up the third spot with a remarkable 84.34m effort. He went on to seal the bronze medal.
