Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan Offer Prayers At Tirupati Temple Ahead Of LIK Release

Love Insurance Kompany is just a day away, director Vignesh Shivan and his wife, actress Nayanthara, visited the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirupati to offer prayers.

The couple posed for media photos after their darshan, adding excitement to the film’s pre-release buzz. Starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, and SJ Suryah, LIK is a sci-fi romantic entertainer set in 2040, exploring a world where love is insured by an app that predicts, controls, and even manipulates relationships.

The couple, dressed in traditional outfits, interacted with the media and posed for photos after their prayer. After this, they posed with a few fans outside the temple premises. The prayers at the devine place hint at the duo’s belief in divine blessings for the film’s success. Some fans took to the comments section to say that they missed seeing their twin children, Uyir and Ulag with them at the temple.

In 2022, actress Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan received a legal notice for breaching rules at the Tirumala temple in Chennai. The couple had tied the knot on June 9 and visited the temple the following day. Viral photos showed Nayanthara wearing footwear inside the temple, a practice strictly prohibited by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board, according to Narasimha Kishore. The couple later issued an apology for the oversight.

Love Insurance Kompany tells the story on a man whose app-controlled love life begins to unravel when the system labels his own relationship as doomed. As he confronts the tension between technology and genuine emotions, he must choose between following the algorithm and embracing pure love.
