Nayanthara heaps laurels on Samantha

Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest film ‘Engal Thangam’ aka ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ has made an impressive start at the box office, crossing the ₹25-crore mark globally within its first two days of release.

The film’s early success also received appreciation from actrss Nayanthara, who shared a congratulatory message for Samantha and the team on social media. Samantha later responded with a message of gratitude.

Reflecting on the film’s performance, Samantha thanked moviegoers for their support and expressed happiness at seeing audiences embrace content-driven cinema. She also highlighted the growing participation of women in theatrical audiences, calling it a positive development for the industry.

Trade estimates suggest that the film maintained strong momentum on its second day, contributing significantly to its worldwide total. Overseas markets have also reportedly delivered encouraging numbers.

Directed by Nandini Reddy and developed from a concept by Raj Nidimoru, the film tells the story of a woman who enters a conservative household as a new bride while concealing a dangerous secret from her past. As old threats resurface, she is forced to protect the family around her while keeping her true identity hidden.

The cast includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, Sreemukhi and Manjusha Mukkavilli in key roles. Released on June 19, ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ continues to perform strongly and is expected to remain one of the most talked-about releases of the month.
