Navratri Kalash Establishment
Navratri Kalash Sthapna Muhurat: Ghat installation is also called Kalash establishment, which is considered an important ritual of Navratri festival. Navratri festival is considered incomplete without the installation of the Kalash. On the first day of Navratri, devotees establish a decrease in their house by law and worship this Kalash for nine days. Sharadiya Navratri will be established on 22 September 2025. On the first day of Navratri i.e. the first part of Pratipada Tithi is considered to be the most auspicious time for the installation of Kalash.

What materials are required for installation of Navratri Kalash?
- Kalash (soil, copper or brass)
- Pure water
- turmeric root
- Betel
- Coin
- Rice
- Some leaves (mango or Ashoka)
- Coconut
- Red cloth
- Molly (kalawa)
- Roli and sandalwood
- Akshat (whole rice)
- Fruits and sweets (for enjoyment)
- Lamp
- Eligible and ghee or oil for unbroken light
- Barley (sown on sand altar)
How to install Navratri Kalash?
Purification:- First of all clean the house and temple and then take a bath.
Prepare the urn:- Make a sand altar at a checkpoint and sow barley in it. Then keep roli and intact under a urn.
Put the ingredients in the urn:- In the Kalash, fill Ganges water, then to the throat with pure water. Add turmeric lump, betel nut, coin and rice to the urn.
Apply leaves and coconut:- Apply five or seven mango or Ashoka leaves on the Kalash and do tilak on these leaves. Install the nerial:- Wrap a coconut in red cloth and install it on top of the urn. Coconut should face towards you.
Light unbroken light:- After the establishment of the urn, light the unbroken light in the temple of the house.
Goddess Puja:- Install Mata Durga’s post in front of Kalash. Offer chunari, vermilion, flowers and necklaces to the mother.
Offer bhog:- Offer sweet prasad or fruit to Durga Mata.
Take a pledge:- Pledge to worship the Goddess for 9 days of Navratri.
Worship of Kalash:- Calling the Varuna deity, pray to visit the Kalash. Then worship the urn with roli, akshat, sandalwood and flowers etc.
Then after taking the resolution, light a unbroken flame for nine days and flow the coconut of the worship urn of Navratri.
