What to do if the unbroken flame is extinguished?
If for some reason the unbroken light is extinguished, it is considered inauspicious, but by following some rules, its negative effects can be avoided:
Apologize
First of all, apologize to Goddess Durga with folded hands for your mistake. Keep in mind that this mistake was done unknowingly and you want to continue your worship with full devotion.
Jyoti ignite immediately
After extinguishing the light, ignite it immediately. You can use matches or lighters to ignite it. Try to burn a small light beforehand so that if it is extinguished, then you can re -ignite the unbroken light with that small light. It is also called ‘Ritual Jyoti’.
Use pure ghee or oil
Use only pure ghee or oil while igniting the flame again. It would be better to use the same material you were using earlier.
Take a resolution
